Women's Spitfire 5 Sprint Track Spike

Saucony Spitfire 5 - Ignite Your Sprint Performance The Saucony Spitfire 5 is designed for the athlete who lives for the sound of the starting gun. Whether you're a high school standout or a masters competitor, this spike is engineered to provide a secure, powerful platform that translates every ounce of effort into forward momentum. It bridges the gap between high-end elite spikes and beginner gear, offering a sleek, low-to-the-ground feel that makes you feel connected to the track from the 60m dash to the 400m sprint. Technological Performance 7-pin Pebax® spike plate provides superior traction and a rigid launchpad for explosive power. Lightweight synthetic upper ensures a streamlined fit that minimizes drag and weight. Molded quarter cage offers critical support and lockdown, especially when navigating tight turns. Thin EVA foam midsole provides a touch of underfoot protection without sacrificing ground feel. What’s New Updated 7-pin configuration for even more aggressive grip during acceleration phases compared to previous 6-pin models. Redesigned synthetic upper materials for increased durability and a more "disappearing" feel on the foot. Enhanced heel lockdown package to prevent slippage during high-intensity hurdles and sprints. Versatility for Every Mover Power Your Run : Optimized for short-distance power events, specifically the 60m, 100m, 200m, and 400m, as well as hurdle events. Walking & Daily Motion : While specialized for the track, the lightweight build makes moving between heats and checking in at the clerk's tent feel effortless. Reliable Comfort for Every Shift : Though built for the oval, the secure lockdown and lightweight philosophy mirror the needs of medical professionals and retail staff who require gear that won't weigh them down during a fast-paced shift. Staff Favorite for: High School Sprinters and Hurdlers Our team recommends the Spitfire 5 as the best "first-year" sprint spike. It offers the stiffness needed to learn proper sprinting mechanics without being as punishingly rigid as an elite carbon-plated spike. At Runners Athletic Company, we take pride in being a part of the local athletic journey, whether you're training on the tracks of Saginaw, competing in the indoor meets of Midland, sprinting through the invitationals in Mt. Pleasant, or hitting the straightaways in Bay City. We are your home for high-performance gear in Michigan, dedicated to helping every athlete find their edge and cross the finish line with confidence. Ready to drop your times?
